The all new MAKO 234 Express packs a punch with its outstanding value, offering the legendary performance and features known to its brand. This family-friendly 23-foot Express is made for extensive fishing and comfortable cruising.  The MAKO 234 Express combines all the fishing features of its larger siblings in the MAKO line - without compromising deck space and storage, leaving it the top in its class. 

At 23′ 4″ LOA, and with a 8′ 6" beam and 21-degree deadrise at the transom, the 234’s MAKO-proven hull promises an exceptionally smooth ride.  The foam-injected hull with a one-piece integrated finished fiberglass stringer grid allows for tremendous structural rigidity. Customers have the option to power their MAKO 234 with a minimum horsepower rating of a single 225, or maximum horsepower with twin 150s. Fuel capacity is an exceptional 143 gallons providing tremendous range.

The 234 Express offers families many onboard comforts and conveniences. Included is a large galley with sink, insulated cooler and countertop, six-gallon freshwater system, storage and insulated cooler or optional refrigerator. The cabin offers direct/indirect lighting and a comfortable V-berth with dinette, storage below and filler table.  

This new generation MAKO features the finest in componentry and construction. The 234 Express offers anglers a level cockpit, with non-skid pattern for sure footing. Among the many hull and deck features are a top loading anchor locker, welded one-piece aluminum bow rail, stainless steel cleats, heavy duty rub rail and stainless steel thru-hull fittings above the waterline. An opening deck hatch with screen, portlight openings with screens and integrated port and starboard swim platforms are standard.

            The boat’s optional fiberglass hardtop features spreader lights, dual E-boxes, courtesy lights and rod holders. There is also additional side rod storage and four rod holders on the deck.

            At the helm, one will find a large, molded console that features trim tab controls, digital instrumentation and stainless steel steering wheel. The electronics mounting surface is designed to allow ideal placement for visibility and access. The windshield is constructed with tempered safety glass. Plus, a footrest affords pilot comfort.  

            In the self-bailing cockpit, the captain and passenger will appreciate the sliding swivel seats and adjustable gas-rise pedestal and LED courtesy lights.  Beverage holders are located throughout.  An aft-facing seat houses an insulated cooler. The aft gunwale cap is fiberglass and provides toe space. Toe rails are stainless steel.

To satisfy the demands of the offshore angler, the MAKO 234 Express has more tackle storage than any other 23-foot model on the market. Built with fishing in mind, the 234 offers dual fish boxes with gravity drains and macerator pumps. Also included is a 20-gallon baitwell with light and insulated, see-thru lid. The bait prep station includes a stainless steel freshwater sink, faucet and cutting surface. There are also fresh and raw water outlets, and a bilge access hatch to the gelcoat-finished bilge. 

            Mechanical features include a dual battery switch, battery access from the cabin, forward and aft bilge pumps with auto floats, fuel filter/water separators, navigational lights, a remote oil fill, submersible connectors, and trim tabs.

            Available color options are Fighting Lady Yellow, Mystic Blue or MAKO white. Additional options also include a Bimini top, compass, an AM/FM/CD stereo with four speakers, telescoping board ladder and removable dive ladder, cockpit enclosure for standard hardtop, aft facing jump seats, folding removable rear bench seat, outriggers, dual axle aluminum trailer and more.
