The MAKO 18 LTS is a great catch for anglers who love to fish inshore and bay waters – the fact that she can be your for less than 20 grand rigged and ready to go with a four-stroke outboard and trailer is icing on the cake.
A 2009 TRAILER BOATS Excellence in Design award winner, the MAKO 18 LTS is built with the company’s patented Rapid Planing System hull design, letting her pop up on plane with less paower in only 24 inches of water. This makes the 18 ½-footer ideal for exploring shallow flats and back bays or casting to gamefish from the sizable bow and stern fishing platforms.
Options such as a poling platform and engine jack plate are available to further enhance this rig’s shallow-water fishing performance.
The boat’s construction features include a completely bonded and lined hull/deck assembly, watertight storage compartments with close-molded lids and stainless-steel cleats and bow/transom eyes.
With a self-draining nonskid deck, the layout includes a center console with analog gauges, a removable windscreen, a grab rail, a stainless-steel wheel and vertical rod holders. A cushioned flip-flop helm seat with integrated 72-quart cooler combines convenience and comfort. Just ahead of the console is a cushioned seat with an 18-gallon aerated baitwell concealed underneath.
The MAKO 18 LTS is rated for outboards up to 90 hp; however, she will perform well with less and maximize fishing range from her 33-gallon fuel capacity.
The value package price includes an aluminum single-axel trailer with EZ lube bubs, along with a Mercury 60 four-stroke outboard.
