Best of the Bays

The mako shark is among the most spectacular, aerodynamic, acrobatic, hardest-to-kill creations nature has ever produced. The same can be said for the man- made MAKO® 2101 Inshore. Introduced in 2004, the 2101 Inshore has a fiberglass hull injected with foam for enhanced flotation. The integrated stringer system is chemically bonded to the hull for reinforced hull strength.
MAKO®'swell-known dry-ride V hull will help keep you dry on the ride home in the late afternoon when the wind picks up, and will protect you from toothy critters if you decide to fish inshore for blue sharks or smaller makos.
A 60-gallon fuel capacity gives this rig range. Its wide beam enhances platform stability in a very big way, which is crucial for ocean trolling or drifting in the swell. Weighing in at 1790 pounds and taping 21 feet, 4 inches, she's a pleasure to tow. With a 20-gallon console livewell and a 30- gallon aft livewell, you can arm yourself with at least two different kinds of live bait, or double up on just one. The nonskid deck comes standard in this package, as does the in-floor fuel tank, self- bailing cockpit and the 1100-gph bilge pump. Options include a swim platform, cooler seat with two- way backrest, a 94- quart cooler with hold-downs, hydraulic tilt steering, an aluminum leaning post and trim tabs.
