Saltwater fishing-boat builder MAKO^® Marine has introduced a new dual console for fishing and skiing, the 216 DC. The 21-footer is outboard powered and has a split molded-in swim platform, walkthrough transom, and self-bailing cockpit with molded non-skid decks. Features include a 14-gallon live well with overboard drain, in-deck ski and storage locker, under-gunwale rod storage, tackle storage and additional storage in the bow. An insulated fishbox/cooler can be plumbed as a sink.

The helm seats are bolstered, and the 216 has cushioned port and starboard seats with backrests aft in the cockpit. The port console has a head enclosure, and forward of the walkthrough windshield is cushioned and bolstered bow seating.

The split bow rail is aluminum, and MAKO says it uses aluminum backing plates for through-bolted chocks and cleats, aluminum reinforcement under seats, and bronze through-hull fittings below the waterline.

Construction is fiberglass with a balsa-cored deck and foam-injected fiberglass stringer system. Recessed trim tabs are standard. Options include a flip-up center aft seat, freshwater system with transom shower, raw water washdown, removable stainless steel boarding ladder, vertical rod holders, tilt helm and a Bimini top.
